Size Guide
Welcome to the Zuvemori Size Guide. Because our collection includes a wide variety of dress styles—from tailored mini dresses to flowing bohemian sets—sizing can differ from piece to piece. This guide helps you understand how to measure yourself accurately, how to interpret the size charts provided on individual product pages, and how to find the best fit for your body type and personal preference.
Understanding Our Size System
All Zuvemori dresses are offered in standard alpha sizing: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, and 3XL. While these letters are consistent across our store, the actual measurements for each size vary depending on the garment's design, fabric, and intended fit. Always refer to the specific size chart listed on the product page for the item you are interested in.
How to Measure Yourself
To choose the right size, you need accurate body measurements. Use a soft, flexible measuring tape and measure over light clothing or undergarments. Keep the tape snug but not tight, ensuring it lies flat against your skin without twisting.
- Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level and parallel to the floor.
- Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waistline, usually just above your belly button.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, keeping your feet together.
Write down these numbers in inches. When comparing your body measurements to the size chart on a product page, remember that the chart lists the garment's measurements, not your body's. For a comfortable fit, choose the size where the garment's measurements are equal to or slightly larger than your body measurements, depending on how fitted you want the item to be.
Interpreting Product Size Charts
Each product page that includes a size chart provides specific dimensions for the garment itself. These typically include:
- Bust, Waist, and Hip: The circumference of the garment at these key points.
- Length: The total length of the dress from the highest point of the shoulder (or neckline) to the hem. This helps you visualize where the dress will fall on your body (e.g., mini, midi, or maxi).
- Top Length / Skirt Length: For two-piece sets, separate measurements are given for each piece.
Note on Measurement Variance: Since many of our items are measured manually, please allow for a slight variance of approximately 0.4–1.2 inches. This is normal and ensures that unique fabrics and handcrafted details are accounted for.
Choosing Between Sizes
If your body measurements fall between two sizes on the chart, consider the following:
- Fit Preference: If you prefer a looser, more relaxed fit, especially for dresses with structured fabrics or embellishments, we generally recommend sizing up. If you prefer a snug, body-hugging look, you might choose the smaller size, provided the garment's measurements still accommodate your body.
- Garment Type: For dresses with adjustable features (like drawstring waists or tie-back details), you have more flexibility. For tailored or non-stretch fabrics, accuracy is key.
